Re: Feedback: VB6 installation fails at ACMBOOT.EXE 0.3.16

http://fatalerrordoom.blogspot.co.uk/2009/01/visual-basic-6-instalation-problems.html For some reason, when I try to install Visual Studio 6.0, I encounter an error that states that "acmboot.exe is damaged". Is there a way to fix this problem, or do I need to get my install disc for this ...

Re: RSS feeds

Hi. I just thought I'd mention that Newsletter 88 isn't showing in the RSS feed.. I'd also like to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to the person/people responsible for making the newsletter. I really appreciate having these semi-technical insights into ReactOS development. Thank You :)

Re: console tools defaultly from ReactOS

So would I, though only in the sense that it would be good to have a comprehensive set of tools bundled with the OS.
But since I guess that falls outside the scope of ReactOS, that will be something to look for in distros instead.

Re: Can we expext a new release one of these days ?

I don't think JimGunn's post needs a response. It just looks to me like a badly placed joke, sort of a "heh, maybe Microsoft is placing people in the project to undermine it" sort of thing. It's not really fair to GreatLord, who AFAIU has worked hard on this project, and has probably been ...

It probably was the latest build when he downloaded it. Bear in mind this thread is over a month old.

Is it necessary to use XPS? MS ships with a "Generic / Text Only" printer driver. Would that do?

Can I just say, thanks for posting about Akelpad here. Since this thread first started, it has become my text editor of choice.
I personally won't be pushing for its inclusion into ROS, but probably for the first time in the history of the Notepad discussions, I wouldn't be opposed to it.

@FSX, IIRC, Win9x could give blue screens when you eject a disc that's in use, but it was essentially an abort/retry/fail box. Effectively, it was pausing the system to give you a chance to put the disc back in, so the program that's using it wouldn't go belly up. Erm, I hope this post isn't seen as...

Did you conclude that it was a "piece of crap" based on your experiences of it, or because you think it's cool to hate Vista?

FWIW, in my (limited) experiences with QEMU on Linux, I've found that it's capable of loading a partition image file, and treating it like a hard disk with a partition on it. Of course, such partition images are also mountable directly under Linux.

Sorry:
(a) This thread is for vector images. A list of acceptable formats was in the first post.
(b) You've missed the deadline, which in fact predated the opening of this thread, which was many months ago. So (a) is moot anyway.

You don't get a very good idea of it from that angle. Presumably that's a standard-thickness USB attachment. So, is the card as thick as the attachment? If so, it seems impractically thick. If not, then the shape is a bit funny, and gives the impression of being a bit fragile. Either way, I don't th...
