allocConsole() failed

should have posted this under my original thread. the reason I need to do this manually is because I get an installation error when using the install cd. I can run a livecd, qemu fine. is it because I have a sata drive? I'm using XP, so I took the 0.2.8 qemu image and copied it to the fat32 partitio...

Updating ReactOS manually
The next question is how to update the files manually to the latest build?
I'm using XP, so could I just move files over from the iso...opening the cab file and just copy files over to where they belong under d:\reactos?

I may be getting ahead of things with the idea... but its a good one i think :) and as reactos gets towards 0.3.0 i belive weve already passed the point where reactos can be built on reactos so it wouldnt have to rely entierly on prebuilt updates is this actually true? has anyone built reactos just...

Duhh... I asked you to change the disk, should have asked you to change the partition. How does this work: SystemPath=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\ReactOS that was it.
