Re: Things we can do better than Windows

Yeah I've always wondered if updates require a reboot just because they weren't thought of in the initial design of the OS.... but, yes I fully understand how processes need to be restarted and files are locked etc, it does create a big web of dependencies which just gets to be impossible to try to ...

Re: Transparent locale-per-application support idea

It is a good idea but unfortunately is pretty tough to implment.. I won't say impossible right off, but... ;) The only way this could happen is for every app running in it's own specific codepage (that's what's important here, using the correct windows codepage), the OS will need to do conversions t...

Re: Arwinss : Alternative names + logo request

Re: Could VB6 used to locate Reactos bugs ?

I've been testing Mono on every release, I'm able to install but not able to successfully run anything in it yet.
A test suite in mono might be a nice compromise- open source, c# language, etc.

Mono in ROS - 3.12

I usually try to run a Mono application in each new release of ROS. 3.12 seems to be a lot better than prior version - even the speed is noticeably faster. I am able to successfully install Mono, but trying to launch the demo apps doesnt work - it tries to load and just exits. I was curious if anyon...

new version notification

is there, or what is the best method, of being notified when a new version of reasctos is released? sorry if this is a dumb question but I don't see an obvious way to sign up for some method of notification. And, I'd like to know!

First comp by our lead GA- http://www.setiri.com/roscomp1.jpg . Let me know any feedback here. I'll be leaving shortly for the rest of the evening so will see any feedback tomorrow. I like the color added by the smoke but suspect some may think it is too colorful, so based on feedback we may reduce ...
