Re: NTFS-3G: Read-Write Open Source Linux NTFS FUSE Driver

Please note that NTFS-3G doesn't require the FUSE user space package anymore.

I guess this fact won't make any difference to your position.

Has anyone here tried (and is thus able to report on) the above program.

You could use the great NTFS filesystem for ReactOS,.... isn't that of some use?

Why don't you explain for a time how deep the problems are. I am actually quite interested.

Re: Making Win32 DYNAMIC Libraries (DLLs) from STATIC Libraries.

oiaohm: Do you actually know how to change the autotools to build dlls? You seem to be deliberately avoiding the question. So, it is fair to ask if you even know how. Anyway, lets assume you do. So now we can get on with it. I don't care how hard it is. I just want to get with it. I have read the au...

Re: Making Win32 DYNAMIC Libraries (DLLs) from STATIC Libraries.

The major job is not changing autotools to build the dll. Good. Glad to hear that changing the autotools is the easy bit. So lets start with the exact instructions for changing the autotools to build dlls. All this talk, with nothing said, is not useful. Let's get down to real instructions. Real li...

Re: Making Win32 DYNAMIC Libraries (DLLs) from STATIC Libraries.

If autotools stuff is built to make dlls its simple. If its not is a major job. I don't believe that it is a major job. It seems that only a few added lines are necessary. It used to be just adding a line or two to ltconfig (the libtool configuration file) and I don't think they would deliberately ...

...static to dll there are quite a few traps. Its safer not to do it. We don't have to help people create problems for themselfs or others,..... So nice clean and working dll is go back to source. oiaohm; Thanks a lot for your long reply. Unfortunately, the stage of my understanding is such that it...

Re: Making Win32 DYNAMIC Libraries (DLLs) from STATIC Libraries.

I'm surprised. Is it really true that no one here can help one to build dlls.

That's pretty sad.

Re: Can we expext a new release one of these days ?

If anyone, JimGunn or not, posts any more lies which are stupid enough to be believed by the "normal kind" of ppl and could harm us, I will gift him with a banhammer. Do you think that the REACTOS people are harmed in some way? REACTOS people are the only folk to come out of this without ...

Re: Can we expext a new release one of these days ?

As far as i am aware, it is all correct. If you know of any errors, please point them out. Yes I remember most of this, I remember Alan Cox throwing a fit over some of this too. I even asked him what was going on and he told me more moronic bull shit like always. Wow, not bad jimgunn? Bad assumption...

Re: Can we expext a new release one of these days ?

Bad assumption. On this topic, I definitely know what I am talking about. Seems some of you boys need examples of sabotage: Martin von Löwis created the original (read only) Linux NTFS driver back in 1995. It was added to the Linux Kernel (2.1.74) in December 1997. He added almost full write support...

Re: Can we expext a new release one of these days ?

It would be a pretty cruel irony if Microsoft didn't have to even raise a finger to kill this project. Would anyone care to explain what's going on? Big money (the people who own Microsoft etc) have infiltrated folk into nearly every Open Source project. These people are there to delay development,...

Re: Free COMPILERS and CROSS-COMPILERS for LINUX and WINDOWS.

I think that some brave one should risk it to compile reactos with 4.3.1. Looks like http://linuxhelp.150m.com and http://linux.50webs.org also have a page on GCC 4.3.0 (which is almost the same as 4.3.1) called Free Compilers and Cross-Compilers for Linux and Windows. (GCC 4.3.0 Initial Results) A...
