Nevermind. It's like beating a dead horse. The forum is fine!

That definitely puts things in better perspective for me. I guess I have taken a bit for granted. I have followed linux for the past five years, and seen some great leaps in terms of usability from there end. I had no idea how much time some of the window managers have been in dev. I am more familia...

I've heard things here and there, and just as much nothing concrete. The release date for 7 is somewhere around 2010 right? I guess that would fall into the same time frame. XP is a good OS, and I would hate to see them drop it. Hopefully 7 won't be the bloated beast that Vista is. I only use Window...

We should just drop this before it gets out of hand. I really don't want to have a flame war with you. I will admit that I should have been more tactful in my criticism of the forum...'crappy' was not a fair or professional way to describe it. The fact that the backbone of the forum is PHP was clear...

@Haos, I wouldn't call it a cheap shot considering that it was in response to the rude response I received from him. I've made an attempt to end this flaming with Ged, so if we can drop it and start over it would be good I think. Still, there shouldn't be any issue with people speaking they're minds...

I am looking forward to an alternative to XP. From what I understand MS is ending support in a couple years?

Ok, I don't want to irritate any more developers (Ged) , but I have a couple questions somewhat related to this post... How come ReactOS has been in alpha for so long? Have there been a lot of growing pains since switching focus to an NT similar system from legacy/9x? Even if you consider that XP wa...

It seems that perhaps Yellow is expecting more than he/she should. ReactOS is still in alpha. I couldn't get it to install on either of my machines, but I am hoping I have better luck when the beta is released.

I take that back. So far have gotten a lovely response from Ged. Perhaps he is just the sensitive type? I think I hurt his feelings. Well, either way I'll probably get banned before I get a chance to make any contributions.

Glad I got such a nasty response. Hate to break it to you, I know the new posts are highlighted.....I said there should be a link to a page that shows all new posts in a list. Oh and as far as a 'safety feature' is concerned, no other forums I use have this issue. Sounds more like I actually struck ...

No kidding....So the missing features are due to the fact that this is an earlier version? I look forward to the update. So what's the deal with the 'wait a few minutes before attempting your search'?

Changing the Forum

Not sure if anyone has already said anything about this, but I have only been on here a little while and the forum seems kind of crappy. I am looking for a link to view new posts, but there isn't one. Also I did a search, then another and it asked me to wait a few minutes between searches...WTF? I d...
