Bloated, everybody can download mono later Of course one would not bundle with large bloated applications - but the question were wether or not you in the end will be able to run it - thus applications dependent on it. I am satisfied with the answer that .NET will be avaiable - the practical implem...

Re: Mono!

-The fact that it locks your applications to a single platform. Perhaps should rOS not support DX due to that DX is not cross platform? On rOS core level, it's designed to run applications explicitly made for windows operating systems - bottom down if you cant run .NET applications in rOS, rOS in t...

Offcourse, I'd rather have everything optional in rOS. It's potential as a server os could be rather limmitless if you can reduce bloating.

Future features for the Explorer

Some features I'd like to see implemented in the rOS explorer. Grouping I think the technical term for the bottom toolbar in windows is "coolbar"(?) - neverthanless in XP this bar behaves in such a way that it joins several windows to a single slot to preserve space when running lots of instances of...

How about having it so that the end user can create/use own custom bootscreen, either static, animated, selectable with or without progressbar and selectable with or without "loading file: <somefile>" text. After all - why should selecting a boot screen be much different then selecting a wallpaper f...
