Re: Printers?

Well, when I reconsider it, a sad truth is that LPT printers may get extinct before ReactOS reaches beta. I doubt that they are still manufactured, so probably in the next 10-15 years all of them will get completely broken.

Re: Printers?

No one would argue, that today one cannot and would not buy anything else but a USB printer. Anyway Most serial (comm port) and parallel printers are sitting in garbage dumps, at least in the US. I've never thought that ReactOS is developed exclusively for US. In my office we still use a HP 4+ and a...

Re: News: 0.3.13 is in the forge!!Read more..

In what environment should the test be done? Because everything from the 100 list is tested, I tested in qemu: 1. AppleWin- not working, ReactOS hangs, too. 2. VLC working- extremely slowly, with plenty of artifacts and with no sound. Maybe on a real PC it will work better. 3. NumLock calculator wor...

Re: UDF is much better

inCD uses no UDF, they have a funny own format using Packet-Writing Technology. Well, either wikipedia lies, saying InCD formats media, and writes to Universal Disk Format. , or I cannot understant it right (which will not be a wonder). I am sure that Ubuntu reads and writes disks, written with InCD...

Re: UDF is much better

If I'm not wrong Windows Vista has an inbuilt support for UDF. Other OSes could use Nero InCD, which is now freeware.

Re: Can I input Chinese to ReactOS's notepad ?

Is there an IME for Windows under (L)GPL? It might be useful for ReactOS.

Re: Propably stable Uniata ;)

If this happens again and you dont have debug logging enabled, please blindly type cont and press enter (make sure you are running debug mode). If it ends up with 7B bugcheck, please avoid putting CDROM into any slave IDE channel. I do not know if debug logging can be enabled during first stage set...

Re: Propably stable Uniata ;)

Maybe, but I don't know how it will behave on real hardware. Just try it, and write the results here. To do it, simply download newest ROS ISO (DBG) and open it with any ISO program that is able to modify the iso, and replace default uniata.sys with any of the version above. I did it, using this fi...

"Do you know a free or at least a freeware partition manager running in Windows?" Windows own partition manager program? Since Vista, it also supports partition resizing. I would say, that the general ability to create, delete and format partitions is one of the more important things, bec...
