Re: I am back, now ready to test.
Ok, thanks. Good and bad news, though (and sorry for have taken so long, have a lot to do in school). The bad news go first. I have a debt to my parents, and we agreed they will get the laptop. Just to pay a bit of it of. The good news is that I on the other hand got a new laptop from my school, whi...

Re: I am back, now ready to test.
Ok, update. Have had other things to do, but now I finally decided to take my chances. I burned a trunk build, plus I added a software folder to it containing a few programs. Then I managed to install it after a few problems (had Debian on the laptop, and because of it I got a bootloader screwup whe...

Re: ReactOS Slogan
Nah, if ReactOS are going to have a slog, which I do not know if I would like, then it should have ne references to Bill Gates or any person at MS. Or even MS itself.

Re: I am back, now ready to test.
I have one NTFS partition, one FAT32 partition and one EXT3 partition, plus a Linux swap partition on my main computer (dual booting XP and Ubuntu). Anyway, if it is safe I think I will run it every now and then as a LiveCD, until I get that problem fixed. Have ckecked into it a bit, have been looke...

Re: I am back, now ready to test.
I was running it directly on hardware ;). Need to get a serial cable somehow, so that I can get the debug data. Then I just need to learn how to work a hyperterminal. Have used it before, was not that much of a problem, just a bit messy when you are not used to them. On the other side, since it work...

Re: I am back, now ready to test.
Ok, I have downloaded and burned the ISO of the latest trunk Live-CD, but I could not make it work with that computer. This was how it went: When I got the option to start from the CD or not, I chose to start from it. Then some text came up about reading stuff (like "ntoskrn.exe" or someth...

Re: I am back, now ready to test.
Only problem for me when it comes to virtualization is that my computers are not that good (one has a bad fan and becomes hot, which makes me prefer not to use it, and the other one, the one I want to test on, is just not that good at all) for that purpose. But honestly, I would really like to test ...

I am back, now ready to test.
Hi all. I joined for some time ago, but did not remain active for long. However, now I realized I got a second laptop that is just not doing any good. So, I thought I could test ReactOS on it. I know it is not recommended to use ReactOS on real hardware yet, but I would hope I could aid the develope...

So not think an server really needs an GUI. Am not an expert, but an server is not made for desktop things like surfing, they are meant for completely different things. And to be honest, I do not see the harm in including powerful shells like bash. It could provide extremely useful, espessially on a...

Small sidenote. If someone dares to ask this over and over again like for 0.3.4, I will kill him personally. If you know it or not. This is not a Hello Word Application, its f**ing complex. If it progresses too slow for you, please help us. Otherwise, wait for releases or load trunk versions. I wou...
