Re: Transparent locale-per-application support idea

I'm glad someone brought this up! I *literally* decided last night that I was going to start a topic about this exact issue sometime today. For Windows applications, I use Wine on my Ubuntu laptop. To run(for instance) Japanese programs, I can type LANG=ja_JP.utf8 wine /location/to/the/executable --...

Re: Bugs in Reactos - some statistics

Phenomenal job everyone!! I can't explain how much I wish I could code. I would love to help get ReactOS out the door faster. Great job!

Re: I appreciate your work.

I have friends who would love to have Windows minus all of the problems(I'm sure if Windows was open source, there would be far less bugs/problems with it--I could be wrong :D ). I can't wait until ReactOS hits Beta! I will try my best to pimp it out to everyone I know once the project reaches that ...

Re: Different distros of ReactOS?

I understand why there are different distros for GNU/Linux. but I feel there are WAY too many floating around out there. I sincerely hope this does not happen to ReactOS. Hopefully the integrated nature of ReactOS will discourage people from making distros when they can instead work on software pack...

Re: ReactOS now supports SATA and USB(mouse/keyboard)

I also just want to say thanks to the devs who have been diligently working on this project. I think this has amazing potential--especially as an alternative to GNU/Linux. Please keep up the good work.

Re: Donating money via PayPal

LOL. Thank you very much--I appreciate it. I am just beginning to learn the (VERY) basics of programming. Since I'm nowhere near experienced(or knowledgeable) enough to contribute in code, I figured I could at least send some money  .

Donating money via PayPal

Hello, I would like to donate money via the PayPal link, but the link takes me to https://www.paypal.com/de/... and I was wondering how to use PayPal to donate in English. Can someone help me out with this please? Thank you.

That is true. I just figured I would drop in a comment since it had been brought up, but I guess I should AT LEAST make a comment about the status of the audit. I think it is great that the audit is nearly complete. I imagine once it is officially complete, there will be some more time for the devel...

I have to agree with shevegen. Gobolinux DEFINITELY has the best design out of any distro I have ever tried or read about. It's a shame they have so little support. I know it's a ways off, but I figured I would throw out a suggestion. Lacking any programming skills and going by what I have read in t...

Thanks Cristen. No hard feelings! :)
I'll try to keep from asking rehashed questions in the future(if I do, I'll make sure I use "enter" plenty of times so it readible  ).

It's good to hear that this project is pretty much safe from legal action.

Thanks again for everyone's responses.

We are going to be like FreeDOS fighting to get attention from Linux users. Old games will be there I guess too. LOL. That's an interesting analogy... If you look at it from THAT perspective, it almost begs to question: "Why fight the good fight?" Why put in years of work to finally complete a syst...

To Z98: Thank you. I'm definitely NOT trying to offend anyone. I always saw Microsoft abbreviated in forums as MS. I will not use it again(with the exception of the previous explanation of course;) ). To Cristan: Why the animosity? I was simply trying to help. I'm not a programmer and the only I can...

Future of Reactos (A Warning)

I have a question that I think is pretty important for the future of ReactOS. What will be the plan of action once ReactOS is complete and (hopefully) becomes mainstream? My main concern is this: MS has a history of putting down competition by any means necessary. Once ReactOS becomes more mainstrea...

First of all, I just want to say "thanks". I have posted on forums for Debian, Ubuntu, Suse and PCBSD, this is is the fastest I have *ever* received a response to any of my posts. Second, are there any plans in the future to help solve either the dll or the registry h3ll issues? Thanks again.
