XFCE might fit.... although from my experience they should all be avoided... they dont give the windows feel, tbh you might as well just build from the group up. An explorer needs to light an funtional, but also attractive so things like Fluxbox wouldn't fit either... ICEVM is quite light and can be...

Windows Viruses in Reactos -wine can run windows viruses.
Right its been a good month or two since i really did anything with ROS or even wine, but i did notice a month or so ago some reports that people were experencing problems with their linux based OS running viruses. The long and short of it was that when they ran wine the windows virus ran almost exa...

kk that answers a lot of my questions. Thanks for the quick reply. So i have now downloaded the source and I am extracting it (i will laugh if i didn't have to do). I am installing ROSBE. So I have a basic idea about using ROSBE, do i just modify the source code ie the .c and .h files or whatever an...

Just my 2 cents, I think we should either go for an xp-like theme or create a completly new and origial theme ie the ROS theme. You know like in vista with the circle... the ros logo is perfectly sutied to it. I know many of you guys prefer and old theme and the benfits that come with it on windows ...

Which ide? and compiler
Ok... which programs can I use for porgramming for ROS. I have visual C++ and saw it mentioned on the wiki... but I remembered you guys write the OS in C like most OS's. I don't know wether visual c++ will let me program in c... because it allows you to open .c and .h files or whatever. Then I also ...

Yeah, I tried booting from a CF card that I don't use anymore (used it with DS homebrew until I got a microSD card solution that didn't stick out of the DS). Needless to say it didn't work. Though I haven't tried it recently... it may work now. Heck maybe it didn't boot because the actual OS couldn...

ROS theme
Hi, I haven't been doing anything with ROS for a good few months and tbh, it looks like no progress has been made even though that is probably not the case. Anyways I was thinking that we should create a ROS theme competition, I don't know a lot about creating themes so if someone could help me that...

Just an Idea
I was thinking what if instead of making React OS for normal computers what if you also make a version for embedded devices like high end mobile phone (cell phones). As React OS is quite small compared to XP and Vista it would work well on phones and people would be able to use apllications designed...
