Re: Reactos on Youtube
Its not as popular as YT? I wasn't suggesting that any videos be removed from youtube, just that the videos also be posted on dailymotion. Again, I point out that the objective of this project isn't to push the free software agenda. We believe in the advantages of open source, but we do not go out ...

Re: Reactos on Youtube

We believe in the advantages of open source, but we do not go out of our way to use free software, especially if it...

Re: Company behind ReactOS?

When you do a checkout of the source code, it appears as if the branch where a complete copy of the source code. However, the branch is stored on the server as a list of changes since the revision that it was branched from.

Re: Some General Inqueries...
I believe it currently can, but will only use one core due to issues with the multi-processor code. The number of cores a processor has is nothing to do with whether it's 64bit or 32bit surely...? No, these two things aren't related, but 64bit support has come with dual core processors, they're jus...

Re: Netbooks, Netbooks, Netbooks...
I'd be interested in seeing reactos running on netbooks too. Netbooks don't need all of the bloat thats in Windows 7.

Netscape might have tanked, but I wouldn't call the rewrite a failure. Far from it.

Agree. In the future, this may run on ReactOS, but I see no reason why it should.Pisarz wrote:It's just a bad shell replacement.

Re: REACTOS PSP
Well, now that it's been resurrected, I was wondering why someone would want to run ros on some odd platform. Fer christs sake, it doesn't even run on my desktop.

Aren't they already infringing on a Kodak trademark? Or are they in the clear because they are operating in a different industry?

If you're trying to get rid of the registry, then duplicating windows isn't the greatest of ideas.

Uh. Open source DirectX? Not that I know of. It's generally DirectX or OpenGL, and the two are not the same. DirectX actually covers sound as well as graphics. DirectX can also be downloaded for free anyways, both the SDK and the runtime(I think it's called that). Is there a particular reason you'r...
