Re: ReactPlus! Project

Long term, I think the project could be in Rapps as an optional component, once it's feature complete.

ReactPlus! Project

Hi there guys! I haven't posted here in quite a long time, but I want to share a project of mine I started 8 or 9 years ago and forgotten about: ReactPlus! My aim is to document and provide similar themes to Microsoft Plus! but using only libre assets. I recently came across the files and notes I ha...

Re: kX Project Audio drivers open sourced

Well, I guess that makes it official then. It's GPL2. But yes, the website is a bit strange indeed.

Anyway, I hope this can be of use for the ReactOS project somehow.

kX Project Audio drivers open sourced

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone already knows this, but the kX Project Audio drivers have been open sourced. http://www.hardwareheaven.com/general-discussion/225114-opensource.html http://github.com/kxproject The author Eugene Gavrilov says the drivers are GPL2: Code seems to be GPL2-covered. Howev...

Re: Arwinss : Alternative names + logo request

I'd personaly go with Portwine. If you consider how port wine is made (fortified wine made with specially selected grapes), I think it'd be the perfect metaphor and it's also easy to pronounce.

Re: Windows Picture & Fax Viewer Clone

Interesting, something that uses the WTL and is more than a "hello world" type. A good find, I'd say. Thanks! And it seems to work on ReactOS as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as6AIcXTiUk Maybe this is not very big, but JPEGView is an open source program, that may be a good substitu...

Re: Windows Picture & Fax Viewer Clone

We generally only include apps in our main tree which can be built with our GCC and/or MSVC. VB apps would need a compiler for itself and we wont provide one, because none exists as Open Source alternative. We could add it to rapps as Download though How about JPEGView ? It appears to be written in...

Re: BIG REQUEST: Donate for USB !

Has anyone heard about Power2People.org ? They are a non-profit organization that host bounties for software development. ATM they are targeting AROS, but according to their page, they intend to target other operating systems. I don't know if it would be possible for ReactOS to join it, but Power2Pe...

Re: When does 0.3.12 will come out?

Regarding the bounty system, ReactOS could join Power2People.org . I don't know if it would be feasible or not, but Power2People has helped AROS to progress and get a lot of new features. So, their system works. Well, at least it could serve of some inspiration for implementing a bounty system for R...

"React16" and "React98" concepts Viable?

I'd like to know if it would be viable/possible to develop the following OSes: "React16" ---> Open/Free Windows 3.11 based 16-bit OS, also using FreeDOS "React98" ---> Open/Free Windows 9x based OS, also using FreeDOS Please note that I'm new here and that I'm just an amateur pro...
