Blowing a FUSE
While a good idea in theory I think it'd be just more work. Why make ReactOS FUSE and then make the NTFS for FUSE, er, plugin? I'm sure that when WinFUSE is ready for Windows it'll also be ready for ReactOS. I've tried using a PartEd Magic Live CD to manage NTFS files and it still doesn't quite get ...

The Style
I dislike XP and Vista eye candy. Only slows performance down. I do like the idea of supporting unsigned XP themes though. Someday Grandma is going to be using ReactOS.. and she won't want change. Make it look like XP if you have to, but use standard theme support.
