Re: Double-click to close
And btw, "I'm not saying you're wrong" :D :D :D :D You are talking to the (only ?? in ReactOS) guy who is in charge of win32 subsystem (for the window part of it at least) so he knows what is happening in there (and I can confirm that in this place, lots of code came from wine). Going off...

Re: Double-click to close
If we don't support it, is due to wine does not support it. X11 does.... So wine does ignore things and assumes X11 will take up the slack. Thus the term "Code Hole" (say that three times fast), that I use to explain these types of phenomena. Wine code handles the windowing? I'm not sayin...

Re: Arwinss's ISO Merging with Normal ISO
From what I understand, ARWINSS is more of a staging ground for different tests and patches, along with other work. I don't think it will ever be merged into mainline with the drastic changes it has to certain parts of the Operating System as a whole.

Better than nothing? More than I can accomplish. It doesn't seem like making ARM a priority is of high importance at this stage anyway.hbelusca wrote:The only thing which works great at the moment seems the bootloader (FreeLdr) on ARM. And that's all.

May be that I just haven't tried installing it in a long time, but the flash installer/player worked in Opera.

Re: [Testing] List of Bugs not commented > 1 year
I always wonder how much of this will change when the code evolves, though. What is to stop a bug from being fixed and then brought up again?
Seems like a better thing to do when each related component is "stable".

Re: mesa3d 8.3
What about Ogre3D? it is open-source and is written in C++ http://www.ogre3d.org/ Ogre itself is just a programming library. It does not provide anything really visible to end users. I suppose once it's seen that all of the functions it contains work on ReactOS, the SDK could be added to the Develo...

Re: Poll: Would you buy a printed/packaged Ros-cd in support
I voted yes, but would be more supportive of the effort if it was done with a fairly stable/hardware-compatible (even just basic hardware) build.

You may want to enter something in the title to indicate this is only for Windows.

There may be a request eventually for a backtrace with translated addresses, so don't get too excited yet

Re: Feedback ReactOS 3.14 (and latest build from trunk)
I'll walk through the steps I just did to get it working. I used to use Linux exclusively, so I had to learn how to do it with putty and com0com, but it seems to be a similar process. I first installed com0com. Left all of the default settings, let it install, and moved on. Next, I installed putty. ...

I was not meaning to be rude, but to hint a suggestion that maybe next time there was some user-generated writing about the program in interest.

Re: VirtualBox image not booting
I've had the hanging boot issues before too. Formatting the drive that it installs onto should fix it (at least, it does for me).
