Re: Why is it taking so long?

Myself I use windows 'everything' http://www.voidtools.com/ It indexes everything ntfs based locally, the beta version also supports searching network shares, and fat32 if wanted. Because it monitors local drives including the usn journal it is always up to date locally. Network shares can be update...

Re: A future for ROS?

The future of ROS is not endangered by this. Microsoft putting out low cost bing centered versions of windows is a continuation of their ongoing efforts to shift everyone to the cloud. The difference lies in how the monthly subscription is paid. Right now some companies, adobe for one, have customer...

Re: Why is it taking so long?

All versions of windows (dunno about 8+ ) is able to show the file extensions: you go to the properties of the explorer, then you search for "display file extensions". If also you want a column displaying the "type" of the file, you need to be in "details" list mode. (Just to note I'm using Win7) I...

Re: Why is it taking so long?

Speaking as an individual who does a fair amount of mixed usage, I find the newer versions of windows annoying and effectively unusable. *Edit: My current OS is XP64 SP2(Win2003 based). It is the newest version I have found with a UI that I like. I think it starts in Vista, but it might be 7, there ...

Re: Release testing for 0.3.16

Or you could use grepWin. I have tried to use grep in the past, wasn't aware there was a windows version. I simply find the tool unusable, I don't think that way. As for those that do get along with it, enjoy!! The bulk of my text searching I do with Ztree, a win32 clone of the old xtree. Bulk edit...

Re: Release testing for 0.3.16

http://svn.reactos.org/svn/reactos/tags/ReactOS-0.3.16/ Thank you very much. Now I can go make my own ISO image by copying the previous release images format. I cheat a little. I put up a subdomain for reactos releases. I extract the ISO images and wait a few days for google to index them. Then I c...

And the SVN# of the 0.3.16 release?

Do you happen to know it?

Re: Release testing for 0.3.16

I have the 0.3.16 REL iso, it is currently installed in a VM.

I am after the 0.3.16 REL src iso, the one that contains the sourcecode.

I cannot find it, nor can I find an SVN# that corresponds to it.

That is what I am looking for.

Re: Release testing for 0.3.16

I even tried on the sourceforge downloads page and it does not appear there is a 0.3.16 REL src iso anywhere.

Just knowing what what SVN# corresponds to it would be helpful.

Thanks.

Re: Release testing for 0.3.16

Does anybody know where the 0.3.16 REL src ISO is?

The link for the source ISO is still for the previous 0.3.15 version.
Or does anyone know the svn# that corresponds?

Thanks.

Re: Release testing for 0.3.16

Installed 0.3.16 in Vbox from ISO: It installed & configured quick. The only real issue on install other than the graphics ones was the following. When exiting the C:\ properties I get the following. It doesn't cause a crash 'per se', but takes two clicks to get rid of. --- unknown exception:8000400...
