i like these a lot. they are professional, consistant and restrained. most
linux distros fail in these areas. i agree entirely that as open source
software, anyone can change the look and feel and re-distibute it, but
part of microsofts dominance is down to consistency. i.e. users know what
to expect, and most users don't bother to change the appearance beyond
sticking a photo on the background. i think that if the base distro looks
professional and fairly familiar to users, it has a far better chance of
acceptance.
