This problem has gone a long way already.
It began with my public bug report
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/FE-5226 and was then followed in a
private support request at Atlassian. During the course of the
discussion, the Atlassian people identified this as a bug and opened
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/FE-5239 themselves. SVNKit, the Java
SVN implementation, is also part of the problem, a bug report has been
opened at their site as well: http://issues.tmatesoft.com/issue/SVNKIT-515
