They could've at least contacted someone before if it's ok to advertise.
Even if they did I'd object due to their commercial interest.

I don't really care. I don't take a single look at every single product
advertised for in all my spam emails, why should this be different
except that it's broadcast to all people subscribed to our lists. This
is *very* annoying.
