By the way, I reset the application list to 'To do'.
The previous list was made a long time ago. There has been a lot of work
done since then, and it's probable the information is now incorrect.
With the introduction of Alex's ws2_32, it would be a good time to start
the checks again and ensure they stay working ready for 0.3.0
If anyone disagrees I'll revert my changes
