I have noticed this also, it is kinda annoying.

Our ne2000 driver works under qemu if you specify the Irq and Port in
the registry.

I was working towards this, but from another angle.  FTP works once
you have the qemu networking up.

Remember, were at not at 0.3.0 yet. ;0)
