Not sure what you mean, the code for negative font heights is still there:

(TextObj->logfont.lfHeight < 0 ?
 - TextObj->logfont.lfHeight :
 TextObj->logfont.lfHeight == 0 ? 11 : TextObj->logfont.lfHeight)
