reactos.org is updated

Post by oldman »

Posted on ros-dev
Hello all,

Our website has been migrated to a new Login system today and all
components have been upgraded to their latest versions.
In the course of that, the user database has also been moved into an
LDAP directory and cleaned from accounts that have never been used.

Please check that everything is working alright and report bugs in our
JIRA: https://jira.reactos.org
You are also advised to change your password in the self-service at
https://reactos.org/roslogin/?p=selfservice - even to the same one.
Every password change from now on will use a state-of-the-art hashing
algorithm (salted SHA-512 with 6000 rounds) to protect your account from
credential theft.

Unfortunately, there have been several newer accounts, for which the
password could not be migrated.
If you encounter problems logging in, please reset your account password
at https://reactos.org/roslogin/?p=forgot to regain access.

Best regards,

Colin Finck
Please keep the Windows classic 9x/2000 look and feel.
The layman's guides - debugging - bug reporting - compiling - ISO remaster.
They may help you with a problem, so do have a look at them.

Loving this new change. The forums looks a little more modern now, I can browse other parts of ReactOS without having to login every time, and the forums is super fast now. Haven't really noticed anything different with the wiki, but nonetheless, it is always good to keep things updated to avoid security risks.

Are problems using in a mobile phone also fixed too?

Some elements did not display correctly.
When writting in this forum using mobile phone, somethings sentences and words changed when selecting, deleting and writting.

Actually I don't like mobile sites so much, it restricts functionality, mostly.

Oh, I don't have to login from main page again and again anymore to just edit a minor entry in Wiki!!!

Actually mobile site for forums has zero restrictions. It's just css change for the viewport.
My working rigs:
Dell Latitude E5430 on 0.4.9-vgal - i5-3340M, USB boot.
Partially working rigs:
Ryzen 7 3700X on B450 board - 0.4.14 boot via preinstall. USB broken.
