Agreed. Of all the designs I saw here, this is the only one that looks like a professional redesign. My only quibble: the header "React Operating System" looks strangely out of place. Maybe it would be better left aligned to the tabbed content area. The tabbed area could also manage to be farther to the right (to get rid of that white space on the right).

This one also wins my vote. Professional. Thoughtful. Simple. Easy. Crisp.

Just go ahead and make the change now. :D

P.S. Perhaps if you could incorporate having the newest news articles fading in and out on the front page (not huge, but easily spotted and read. Maybe just the headliner. And try not to have it scrolling marquee-style; too distracting). I come to the site often to just check on what's new and that would save time. Also, it would be a quick visual for new and return visitors that there is active development taking place. It's just a convenience and show of progress thing. Merely a suggestion worth considering.

Any updates or estimates for when a selection will be made?

Fireball's vacation was delayed because of visa issues so he ended up taking it around when we wanted voting to finish. Once he gets back and votes, we'll move into final selection.
