EFI boot might be useful here. Does not work... yet, but soon enough.
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

It's got an x86 processor, so once EFI & USB are solid, you may be able to run ROS natively on it. But there's nothing from stopping it from running ROS in a VM, I think - other than the fact that it's not yet released. ;)
